Question about Preamp and poweramp GUITARISTS I NEED YOUR OPINION?

Q. what is preamp and poweramp?

I only have used head and cabinet so I have NO IDEA what the heck they are.

Is it like preamps are heads and Poweramps as cabinet?

Can you tell me what Preamps do and Poweramps do?

And are ENGL PREAMPS GOOD????

A. ENGL makes good stuff. A power amp is the portion of the amplifier that distributes the power to the other stages of the amp...as in power from the wall socket. It takes the voltage and distributes it to your tubes and transformer and passive circuitry that operates the amp. The preamp interprets your guitars signal and boosts it to meet the wattage supplied by the power amp. In your head both things work together in creating the sound and volume put through your cabinet. Now just because you have a preamp already doesn't mean you can't use another. Lots of guitar players use different kinds of preamps(typically rack mounted) to get their sound. It might be good to go into a music store and ask to try some out.

If so ,the main fuse is 6A/250V for a 240V/50Hz power supply or 10A/120v for a 120V/60Hz power supply (there are 2 power supply models ,for Europe and USA)!!!

A. it depends on what model you get, but most of them are satisfactory. i had one in 98 though when i was younger and it didnt last that long, but the replacement i got in 2001 has worked excellent since. i have heard good things about all the 2000-2010 models. (but nothing of the 2011 model yet)

Can you damage your headphones from this?

Q. One day, i was using my Beats (studio edition) with my android phone and was testing poweramp music player. Anyways, i was on half volume only, but i cranked the bass to full on the equalizer, and it was so strong my headphones shook and had this popping sound. This was only for one song. Could this damage my headphones permanantly?

A. They wouldn't be worth the money if they got damaged from that although i wouldn't recommend doing it often

What sub would be compatible with this amp?

Q. Just some good fun things to get. I just got this and im still so confused on simple things like getting music on here. Help? Just some explanation about how to get stuff please.

Gives no. of sms received from a particular contact, its quick action has features which are mostly dependent on internet connection, yes you can send one sms to multiple contacts, but how to make groups is still not very clear to me, it has speak feature but need to install recognizer, quick text etc are normal features for other sms application as well. The feature that I liked is that if the sms did not reached the recipient/ recipients it shows small red cross with the contact name.
