A. if it's a product if google play that you have downloaded from external source will still get updates
( in case you downloaded from torrent,it will ask for update but don't update that software because it will lock :p)

Q. When I download apk files such as apps they regularly get updated so it is a hassle to keep uninstalling and reinstalling them so I was wondering if there is an easier way to update them? Thanks.
A. I am pretty sure you can't. You will have to use an appstore such as the Amazon AppStore or the Marketplace.
